Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti Exam Result 2018: Jawahar Navodaya Vidhyalaya had released a notification for inviting applicants for admission in Class 6 & Class 9 of JNV against the vacant seats for the academic year 2018-19. JNV Exam Test Result 2018 is expected to be released by in June 2018. Notice Regarding JNV Class 6th & 9th Admission:

Select list of students for admission to Class IX through Lateral entry Test has been released on 19th July, which can be downloaded from the link provided in above table. Navodaya Vidhyalaya class 6th selection list for admission is also released from 20th July 2018. The parents/guardians of selected students may take the following steps for admission to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya:

  1. Formats for submission of details may be downloaded
  2. Filled in formats are to be submitted to the Principal of JNV concerned as per schedule.
  3. Certificates from the competent authority in respect of Rural, OBC, SC, ST and Disability as applicable are to be submitted to the JNV for
    verification of documents / eligibility to confirm admission to Class IX

After verification, JNVs will confirm the admission, if the candidate is found eligible as per NVS norms.

It is informed that admission will be given to the selected candidates only after due verification of the documents. Parents are advised not to take TC from the previous school until the admission is confirmed by the JNV. Admission to JNVs is done free of cost. No fee is to be paid to school authority for admission to Class- IX.

In accordance with the National Policy of Education 1986, Govt. of India started Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs). A huge number of students have appeared in this NVS Entrance conducted on 21st April 2018. Admission will be made on the basis of performance of students in Entrance Examination. Students who appeared in this examination are eagerly waiting for the final result. Here on this page we are going to provide you a direct link of the JNV Exam Result 2018. JNVST Result will display the marks you have scored in the examination. Presently the JNVs are spread in 28 States and 07 Union.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test-2018 for class VI (Phase-2) in respect of the following Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas will be conducted on 15th July 2018 :
1. District Tarn Taran (Punjab)
2. District Chamba (Himachal Pradesh) – for Pangi Block
3. District Jaunpur (Uttar Pradesh)
4. District Dhanbad (Jharkhand)
5. District Katihar (Bihar)
6. District South Dinajpur (West Bengal)
Arrangement will be made to download the admit cards by the candidates from the website of NVS – www.nvshq.org. Candidates may contact Principal of JNV concerned and collect Admit Cards, in case of difficulty.

About JNVS: Admission in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is made on the basis of a selection test designed and conducted by the CBSE. The test is called the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST). It is a non-verbal nature, class,neutral and designed so as to ensure that talented children from rural areas are able to compete without facing any disadvantage. Special care is taken to ensure that children from far flung areas get admission forms free of cost without any difficulty. Sufficient publicity is done through Doordarshan, All India Radio, local newspapers, pamphlets, vidyalaya websites, visits of Principals and teachers of Navodaya Vidyalayas to the local schools of district.

JNVS Exam Result:

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Result 2018 is expected to be declared by 2nd week of June 2018 for Summer Bound, Winter Bound and 1st week of July 2018 for Extreme Winter Bound JNVs of the year of admission. Students can Download NVS Class 6th & 9th Merit List 2018 from the official website.

JNVST: Entrance on the basis of Merit

Navodaya Vidyalaya draw their student strength from talented children, selected on the basis of a merit test, called the Jawahar Navoaya Vidyalaya Selection Test, designed, developed and conducted initially by NCERT and now by CBSE. The test is held annually on All India basis and at block and district levels. It is objective, class neutral and is so designed as to ensure that rural children are not at a disadvantage.

Eligibility Conditions:

To appear in the Selection Test, a candidates has to fulfill the following eligibility conditions:

For All Candidates

  1. Only Candidates from the district where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been opened are eligible to apply for admission. However, in the district where the JNV is opened and is bifurcated at a later date, the old boundaries of the district are considered for the purpose of eligibility for admission in the JNVs. This applied to cases where new Vidyalaya has not yet been started in the newly bifurcated district.
  2. Candidates appearing for the selection test must be studying in Class-V for the entire academic session in a Government/ Government-Aided, other recognized school or ‘B’ Certificate Competency Course of National Institute of Open Schooling, in the same district where he/ she seeks admission.
  3. A candidate seeking admission must be within the age group of 9 of 13 years. This will be applied on candidates of all categories, including those who belong to the Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs).
  4. A candidate claiming admission from rural quota must have studied and passed Classes-III, IV and V from a Govt. Aided/ recognized school spending one full academic session each year in a school located in a rural area.
  5. A candidate who has not been promoted and admitted to Class-V before 30th September, is not eligible to apply.
  6. No candidate is eligible to appear in the JNV Selection Test for a second time, under any circumstances.
